In the midst of life going on around me my parents got a new puppy. Now I am the first to tell you that I would bear a thousand babies if the universe and my husband would let me. With each hormone induced desire to breed a new animal entered our lives to fill the void ( if any such thing could be possible). At one point we had cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, fish… I have a lot of hormone induced drama and it all became overwhelming. Thankfully my house could not hold anymore creatures and as I enter my “advanced maternal age” my hormones are quieting down (not completely silent but they can be hushed). Penelope was the last “baby” to enter the house almost two years ago.
I was well until this little boy entered our world last Friday night.
His name is Tobi. My parents bought him from a breeder in New Hampshire. He is just the sweetest, fuzziest, cutest little furbaby. It is like having a new baby in the family. All of the cute toys and the playpen and sweaters… Oh the cuteness is just too much. To make matters worse Bella is just so adorable, a little puppy whisperer in training. She bats her long, luscious eyelashes over those baby browns and begs for a new puppy. UGH. I have no strength. Thankfully Mr. is strong enough for both of us and will not give into any of my temporary, cute puppy inducing desires. Until it passes I just go visit and try to get my fill of puppy love.
